Organic Agriculture Conference

The “Witzenhäuser Konferenz” is an annual conference on organic agriculture organized by Kassel university in Germany. This year’s the theme was the increasingly mechanized modern food production and its effects.
Problem
The conference, titled “Schmeckt's noch?” (German for “Still tasty?”), seeks to initiate conversation and debate on the development and effects of modern, industrial food production — the good and the bad. Although the conference advocates for organic and sustainable agriculture, it hosts speakers from all backgrounds.
Solution
The paradoxical combination of the organic shape of an apple and the style of technical drawing sparks questions and interest in the viewer. How important is the exact shape of an apple? Should we preserve old varieties and their unique flavors? The almost neon green accent color does two things: it draws in the eye, and it lives on the edge of the natural and the toxic.
