Kassel University’s faculty of Organic Agriculture in Witzenhausen is the only one of its kind Europe. Even though the faculty was established over 30 years ago, it did not have a visual identity for its students to connect with.

Problem

The faculty needed a unifying visual identity that professors, locals and students from all different backgrounds could relate to. It needed to represent the institution in all its facets, while also appealing to young students.

Solution

The design resembles classical university crests, with a contemporary mono-width line. Its four quadrants represent the different aspects of the faculty: livestock, crops, research, and technology.
